My homepage. A place for experiments, writing and shameless self-promotion. It evolved in parallel with my approach to web design. The site started as a minimalistic proof of concept that one can implement Flash animations without Flash, in pure JavaScript.

Thankfully, I drew the lesson from that and the second version focused on content. In 2004 it was one the first Polish blogs on web development, before everybody jumped the Web 2.0 bandwagon in the second half of 2005.

The third, current version is a celebration of typography and content intended for web designers and developers. I hope you'll enjoy it if you're one of them.

2003 version

The first version of Szafranek.net was mostly a JavaScript playground. Since then powerful JavaScript libraries were invented and I learned to appreciate content and usability over the whiz-bangs.
